You can’t be serious
The plans of the Polish state-owned mining company PGE seemed reckless to the Neighborhood Association Uhelná and, as they believed, illegal. Can one neighbor mine his land without considering the impact on his neighbors? He can’t. However, the then Minister of the Environment Richard Brabec did not think so, and he was going to give his consent to the Polish plan on behalf of the Czech Republic. Neighbors of the mine in Uhelná and Václavice organized a petition and personally handed it to Minister Brabec. The result? The minister backed down. In addition, the Frank Bold Society, a non-profit law firm, got involved in the case and supported the activities of the association.
