1957: The springs dried up
The excavators in the brown coal surface mine, which gradually grew in size, consumed more tons of soil and coal, and gradually approached Opolno-Zdrój. In 1957, the healing mineral springs, discovered by chance during coal mining, dried up permanently as a result of the mining. They disappeared in the mining pit along with other groundwater from the surrounding area. At least the historically valuable buildings from the period of spa prosperity remained in the village. They serve social services as homes for the elderly, etc.
