Animals also suffer from water scarcity
The carpenter Matouš Kirschner, who specializes in the reconstruction of historical buildings, is worried about the lack of water mainly because of the animals. His eleven-meter deep well on the farm no longer has water and the natural well dried up two years ago. He filters the water from the stream with a nanofiber purifier. In one hour, he gets about ten liters of drinking water. Matouš also feeds his livestock from the stream. He takes care of a small herd of mountain cows, he keeps sheep, geese, rabbits, horses, and bees. Because of the drought, new grass grows very slowly in the area. In addition, the pools, and wetlands where the animals naturally stayed have disappeared.
