“It’s a total Bullerby here”
A few years before Milan Starec’s family, Dan and Lenka Gabryš moved to Uhelná. Two families with children of about the same age soon became friends. It was the author of the exhibition, Ibra Ibrahimovič, who spontaneously described the atmosphere here as “a total Bullerby” after his first visit.
However, a more serious topic soon came up between the adults of both families, namely the expansion of the Turów mine, which was not officially announced until 2019. The valid license of the mining company PGE was due to expire the following year, but only when the EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) documentation was published, it was possible to see how long and how far the mine would be expanded. The newly settled people read the report and things got really hot in Bullerby in northern Bohemia.
