The surrounding nature is dying
The Gabryš family has been taking care of their land for fifteen years. They have been planting shrubs and trees and creating a natural water retention system in the soil. With bated breath, they have been watching the dry fields, arid meadows, disappearing pools and streams. Water, which has always been abundant in Uhelná, is disappearing. The situation is no better in neighboring Václavice. The side branches of the local stream are drying up and much less water flows through the main channel than before.
