“Two beers for one wash”
The mine also deprived the Kopecký family, horse breeders from Václavice, of water. The water from the well is barely enough to water their herd. They import bottled water from the store for their own use in the kitchen and bathroom. When they need to do laundry, they go to their neighbors who have a deep well. They thank them with two bottles of beer per wash.
